1. CODE RED—Code Red is a free emergency alert system. Code Red could be the first notification you receive regarding an approaching wildfire.

  PHONE TREE ON HIATUS

Regrettably, due to multiple factors (change in fire department configuration, difficulties recruiting volunteers), the phone tree will be on hiatus for the foreseeable future. 

AS ALWAYS, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE ALL RANCH RESIDENTS TO SIGN UP WITH SISKIYOU COUNTY CODE RED. (https://www.co.siskiyou.ca.us/emergencyservices/page/codered-emergency-alert). 

Real-time Siskiyou County dispatch communications can be followed here: https://www.broadcastify.com/listen/ctid/229. CALFIRE Siskiyou can be followed on Facebook and Twitter (@CALFIRESKU). Presently, Hammond Ranch Fire Zone tweets their emergency responses, as well. Their handle is @HMM4200.

The Facebook group Siskiyou Alerts – Fire and Emergency uses a dedicated group of volunteers to monitor local public safety communications and post information on their page. Additionally, their Announcements tab (https://www.facebook.com/groups/SiskiyouAlerts/announcements) has many useful resource links.
